Distributional preferences explain individual behavior across games and time

We use a large and heterogeneous sample of the Danish population to investigate importance distributional preferences for behavior in trust game public good game. find robust evidence significant explanatory power preferences. In fact, compared twenty-one covariates, turn out be single most important predictor behavior. Specifically, subjects who reveal benevolence domain advantageous inequality are more likely pick trustworthy action contribute than other subjects. Since experiments were spread one year, our results suggest that there is component stable across games over time.
